In collaboration with contemporary galleries and art projects, a series of creative student workshops that explore learning content, subject knowledge and social issues through exhibited artworks in a collaborative creative process with students.

About the programme

What is European culture? What makes Europe diverse? What does the emotional map of Europe look like? How do the development of the sugar industry, a video installation and a 16-year-old student fit into the same space? With our art education programme, we bring together contemporary visual artists, active creators and school students in a space where they learn about subject and social issues through a series of training modules, learning from each other, using the tools of art, in contemporary galleries that they might not normally be familiar with.

Why does it work?

Our Art Education methodology builds on the well-functioning classroom methodology that we apply to all our programmes. Here we do not work with recurring groups of children, but always involve a particular class, usually one or two sessions for that group. . so students have a learning experience that breaks them out of the ordinary through art and culture.
